Negatives of Ather Rizta

Based on customer experience,

  • Build quality is not good at certain areas especially the rear handle at the end of the seat is fragile and also the side stand is prone to flexing more than normal.
  • Rusting can be seen in the chassis as complained many users after few months of usage. Ather has to check their painting components.
  • The console display turns blue black all of sudden while riding and Automatically switches on and off during summer.
  • Wear and tear of the belt is quite fast certain users have reported the belt gets damaged within first 5000 kms.
  • Over-expensive accessories like the footrest alone cost north of Rs 2500 to Rs 3000. Also, the waiting period for Rizta is more than 3 months in tier 2 and 3 cities.
  • Availability of Ather public charging grids in tier 2 and tier 3 cities are very low. Also, the installation of wall-mount chargers in these cities takes more time.
  • The base warranty on battery and motor, which is 3 years or 30000 km, is far less compared to the competition, and Ather must provide better AMC plans by completely slashing the labour costs instead of a 50% discount.

The Ather Rizta is not designed to be a sporty electric scooter. Instead, it focuses on practicality, comfort, storage space, and technology.

If your priority is a family-friendly EV scooter for daily commuting, deliveries, or utility-focused usage, the Rizta is among the strongest options currently available. Its software ecosystem, regenerative braking features, spacious design, and comfortable ride make it a compelling package.
